Art Garza, MBA, FACHE Chief Executive Officer Valley Regional Medical Center
Art Garza, a native of Brownsville, Texas, is the Chief Executive Officer of Valley Regional Medical Center. His career in healthcare spans over 24 years to include military and civilian service. As an early careerist, Art was a multimodality radiography technologist. After completing his graduate studies, Art was promoted to the level of Associate Administrator and eventually became a Chief Operating Officer with the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). Art is a 1987 graduate of Hanna ECHS, The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, as well as, the University of Phoenix and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is a member of the National Forum for Latino Healthcare Executives, a Board member of United Way of Southern Cameron County and a Board member of the Texas Southmost College Foundation. In his spare time, Art enjoys golfing and fishing.
