First Sergeant Ramiro E. Cespedes attended Hanna and graduated class of 1992. During his high school years he was in the JROTC. His senior year he was the Executive Officer of the Battalion and the Drill Team Commander of the Armed Drill Team “Browns Rifles”. He joined the United States Army after graduation. On February 13, 2019 he became the Army Instructor for the Mighty Homer Hanna Early College Eagle Battalion. His highest awards in the Army include two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart for actions in Operation Iraqi Freedom (Iraq 2006) and Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan 2011). He and his family are happy to be back home.
